Maintenance #2
Maintenance Contract Advantages - Cost and human considerations
  • Your Maintenance contract rates will be lower than our non-contract rates.
  • Number of maintenance hours needed will be determined with your consultation and will not be a minute higher than your need or comfort level. However, please note that we will not take-on a contract unless we believe that it fully justifies your expense.
  • You will get immediate response in case of emergency, ball gets rolling the moment the bell rings. Non-contract rates are not guaranteed this highest level of urgency on our part.
  • We build and develop personal rapport with the users and business owners which helps us serve you even better - or in other words - beyond the call of duty.
  • There are seldom any surprises because our engineers will know ins and outs of your networking infrastructure.
Maintenance Contract Advantages - More technical considerations
  • Hardware
We document specific hardware and installed applications for each server including network protocols.
  • Backup strategy
We document what data is being backed up and what data needs to be backed up for quick recovery in case of data loss. Examine backup software (and additional agents if used) as well as backup hardware capacity. Document existing backup rotation/strategy.
  • Licensing compliance
We check licensing compliance for server operating systems and applications.
  • Security
We check for presence of current and updated antivirus and spyware protection software. If systems are current, will check last time scanned and scan if they have not been checked recently. Check Exchange for information store protection.
  • Network resource management
We can inventory existing shared network resources such files, printers, applications on each server.
  • User management (permissions, group policy)
We examine and document Active Directory structure, including organization units and group policy, password policy, naming schemes.
  • Network infrastructure
We examine existing network infrastructure for weaknesses and correct functioning such as Internet connectivity hardware (routers, switches, firewalls) and security configuration.
  • Reports
We compile information to create baseline of existing server infrastructure, and make recommendations based on findings to optimize and consolidate resources for greater ROI.
